Lynchburg College is offering a five-week Summer Reading Clinic for students in grades K-12 who struggle with reading. The clinic will run June 20 – July 22 and will focus on individualized assessments and remediation. Students must be recommended by their classroom teacher to be considered for the program.

The clinic will begin with a diagnosis of each student’s strengths and weaknesses. Tutors will use literature, games, and hands-on activities to addresses specific needs and engage students in learning. All tutors are candidates for the master in education in reading degree and will be supervised by Lynchburg College professors who will be actively involved in the clinic.

Space is limited, and applications are now being accepted. Cost for the clinic is $250, which will be due when a student is accepted into the program.
