Lynchburg needs to make a 2 minute video to compete for the final phase of the PetSafe Bark for Your Park $100,000 contest. We need your help to get some shots of enthusiastic dog park supporters, their families, and their dogs at the future site of the dog park. Its going to be on Saturday, June 25 at Blackwater Creek Athletic Area, 515 Monticello Ave, Lynchburg, VA 24501. It will start at 10 a.m. and last for an hour.

For the planned shots, we need people with their kids and dogs. The dogs must be leashed, and they need to be okay in a large group of people and other dogs.

We also plan to have a shot of people putting money in a donation jar, so we encourage you to bring some loose change and/or $1 bills. Our video script also calls for dogs in action, so please bring your dog’s favorite balls, frisbees, sticks, etc so we can get footage of them at play.

In addition, for two separate scenarios, we need 8-10 friendly, well behaved dogs of different breeds and sizes that can respond well to basic commands. These dogs will need to be off- leash for part of the time around other off-leash dogs.

Please use your best judgement and make sure you are comfortable with your kids and dogs around other kids and dogs.

We would appreciate it if you can e-mail us back if you plan to come so we can get an idea how many people are going to be there.

Everyone in the video will have to sign a video release.

Thank you again for all your support, and please stay tuned as we enter the final phase of this exciting contest! We are in the Top 25 in the nation and beat out 400 other communities to get to this point. Thanks to you!
